KS3 to KS4 Transition Science tests
The KS3 to KS4 Transition Science tests are available with a MERiT Science subscription and are designed to support teachers in assessing their students’ readiness for GCSE and in identifying areas for intervention.
Paper 1 (30 minutes each for Biology, Chemistry and Physics) assesses elements of the KS3 National Curriculum that relate to the ‘key idea statements’.
Paper 2 (60 minutes) assesses the ‘working scientifically’ objectives from the KS3 National Curriculum.
GCSE Science topic tests
These tests cover each topic in the GCSE specifications. The Word versions contain AO information in the mark schemes and feedback forms alongside the tests. The feedback forms enable self and teacher assessment so students and teachers can work together to identify strengths and weaknesses.
The GCSE Science topic tests are included with the Secondary Science Package or any GCSE Science subscription.
