Frequently Asked Questions - Exampro I enter my details but I'm told I have entered the details incorrectly
The most common reason for this error is the wrong subject has been chosen. Check the subject name above the area that asks for your licence information.
Please make sure that you are typing the details in exactly as printed with the appropriate spacing. Do not abbreviate anything or leave off anything as the centre name forms part of the licence code. Another cause can be when an additional space is left at the end of a line. This can not be seen, but would cause an invalid licence. If you still receive the error, delete everything but the issue number from the boxes and re-type. 'Not valid for this issue of the library'
This error occurs when you have licence details for one issue, and a disc for another.
The licence details you have entered to install the program are for a different issue. So you may have entered issue 10 codes but used the issue 11 download or CD.
You will need to get the correct version of the program for the licence details that you hold. 'EoleSys Error'
This is to do with a file not being registered. If you get this error, please follow the instructions here.
'Invalid licence'
This error is likely to be due to an error in the '.ini' file on the local workstation or it may be missing.
When you enter your licence and registration details, Exampro will add the licence details to a file called 'exampro32.ini' which sits in the Windows folder on your local machine. When doing a standalone installation it will put this file in the correct place. When you do a network installation the Button A program will create and add the exampro32.ini to the local machine and put a copy in the ‘Workstation’ folder on the server. 'Invalid licence/Could not open library text file', when running a network installation
When you run Button A, by default Exampro will want to install into a folder called 'Exampro32'.
During the installation, you will be asked where you want to install the files. Sometimes when you browse to the Exampro32 folder, it will add another 'Exampro32' to the end of the path, resulting in something like P:/apps/Exampro32/Exampro32 You will need to delete the second Exampro32 from the path, if you don’t it will create a second Exampro32 folder within the original one and you will get an error message. Button_A.exe does not have the full list of subjects
You will need to download a new Button_A and replace your existing one.
'Autoexec.nt system files is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft windows applications'
In order to solve this, go to the Start button and run a search for the file 'autoexec.nt' It is usually in the Repair folder, make a copy of it to the system32 folder (in Windows XP c:\windows\system32) and make a copy to the 'My Documents' folder, just in case you need it again.
You may need to restart the computer.
'Ordinal not found in MFC.dll missing'
This error message is encountered on some machines running Windows XP or Windows 2000. This occurs if the operating system does not have two essential system files (.DLLs). The way to overcome this problem is to install and register the missing DLL files.
Exampro or Testbase demonstration versions will install these DLLs for you.
Go to 'Products and Ordering' to download and install any Exampro demo onto the machine on which you are experiencing problems. Then test the full version of Exampro. The problem should have disappeared. 'Floating Point Overflow'
This is due to an error or conflict with your printer driver, usually on a networked HP 2600N printer.
There is no solution as yet, but if you export your document to Word, you can print from there.
I have installed Exampro but when I click the shortcut, the installation starts again
You will need to download a new 'Exampro32.exe' file, and place it in your Exampro32 folder, replacing the old one.
'Could not load the dll library...checklic.dll'
If you get this error when running Button A, please replace your existing Button A with the relevant one of these:
